This notice explains what personal data Save My Sale collects when you visit this website, buy the kit or email us, or when we contact you in your work, why, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. In short: very little, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller is Vighnesh G Warrier, trading as Save My Sale, G1204, Sumadhura Eden Garden, Whitefield, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560067, India. Contact: [email protected].

Do you have to give us any data?

No personal data is needed to read this website. The hosting provider’s technical records, described below, are created automatically when your browser asks for a page, and are needed to deliver it.

To buy the kit, Dodo Payments needs your name, email address, billing country and payment details. Giving them is necessary to enter into the contract, not a requirement of law, and you don’t have to buy; but without them the order can’t be taken, and the receipt and download links can’t be sent. If you email us, we need your email address to reply; you choose what else to include.

When you visit this website

The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Like every website, it is served by a hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages, whose servers record technical information about each request: your IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time. It is used to deliver the site and keep it secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a secure website.

The “What’s going wrong?” choice on the home page is kept only in the page address (after the # sign), so you can bookmark or share it. That part of the address isn’t sent to the server and isn’t stored.

After you pay, Dodo Payments sends you to our thank-you page and adds your payment ID, the payment status and your email address to the page address. The page’s script reads only the status, to show the right message, and then removes all three from your browser’s address bar; nothing is stored. But the request for that address reaches our hosting provider first, so its logs may record the full address, including your payment ID and email address, for as long as it keeps logs.

When you buy the kit

Checkout is run by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Dodo Payments collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details, and uses them as a separate, independent controller under its own privacy policy. We never see your full card details.

Dodo Payments shares order information with us: your name, email address, country and what you bought. We use it to deliver the kit, answer questions about your order, handle faulty-file claims and keep business and tax records. Lawful bases: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.

When you email us

We receive your email address and your message through our email provider, Google Gmail (messages reach it through Cloudflare Email Routing), and use them to reply. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in answering you, or steps you ask us to take before or under a contract. Please don’t send papers about your sale, such as contracts, surveys, valuations or mortgage offers: we don’t need them, and nobody reviews individual sales. If you send them anyway, we’ll use only what we need to reply and then delete them.

Business contacts and outreach

This section is for people we contact in their work: creators and channel owners, publishers, organisations and journalists. We may email you once with a proposal or pitch that suits your audience, or answer a request for sources that you published. The controller is the one named at the top of this notice.

  • What we hold: your name, your business email address and your channel or publication, and the date and route of each contact (for example, the business-contact page where we found your address).
  • Where it comes from: business contact details that you or your organisation published, such as a channel’s business-enquiries address or a website’s contact, press or “work with me” page, and journalists’ own published requests for sources. We don’t buy or rent contact lists.
  • Why: to handle one proposal or pitch, or our answer to your request, and any reply.
  • Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in offering relevant work to people who publish business contact details for that purpose, and in answering journalists’ published requests. We weigh them against your interests and rights.
  • Who receives it: only us, and our email provider, Google Gmail (messages reach it through Cloudflare Email Routing), which stores our email for us under contract. We don’t sell or share it, or use it for advertising. If it is processed outside the UK, the safeguards under Where it is processed apply.
  • Our contact log and do-not-contact list: we keep a contact log of the details above. If you ask us not to contact you again, we put your email address on a do-not-contact list, so that we don’t.
  • How long we keep them: each contact-log entry until 12 months after the last message or reply between us, and then we delete it. The do-not-contact list holds only your email address, the brand (Save My Sale) and the date you opted out, and we keep it for as long as Save My Sale contacts people this way, so that we never contact you again.
  • Your right to object: you can object at any time, and we’ll stop: reply to our message (“no thanks” is enough) or email [email protected]. You also have the other rights under Your rights, such as seeing or deleting what we hold; after an opt-out we keep only the do-not-contact entry, so that we can respect it.
  • Complaints: you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); see Complaints and the ICO.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell or rent personal data, share it for advertising, build profiles, or make decisions about you by automated means.

Who else receives it

  • Dodo Payments, as an independent controller, for payment, tax, receipts, refunds and fraud prevention.
  • Our hosting provider and our email provider, who process it for us under contract.
  • Professional advisers such as an accountant, and authorities such as HMRC where the law requires it.

Where it is processed

Dodo Payments and our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by approved contract terms such as the International Data Transfer Agreement. We run this business from India, so we read your order and support details from there.

How long we keep it

We keep order and support records for six years, for tax and accounting purposes. Hosting logs are kept for the period the hosting provider sets. Business-contact records are kept as Business contacts and outreach says. When a record is no longer needed, it is deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests. Email us to use any of these rights. We’ll reply within one month, and it’s free. For the data Dodo Payments holds as a controller, contact Dodo Payments.

Complaints and the ICO

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Children

This website and the kit are for adults buying or selling a home. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Security

The website is served only over HTTPS, loads no third-party code and sends strict security headers. Order and support records are kept in accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal data, we’ll update this page and its effective date before the change applies.
